Aquaman; Finished Inks

I've always liked my idea of Aquaman, more than the actual Aquaman that appears in comics. In the comics, Aquaman's a dick. He's a snooty aristocrat, who just loves to mention that he reigns over 75% of the world. Basically, he's Namor the Sub-Mariner, but a few decades late.

But in my head? Aquaman's a pretty cool dude. This is a guy who was abandoned as a baby by his Atlantean parents, and raised by a humble lighthouse-keeper. He probably grew up on hamburgers and Ghostbusters, just like any of us. Then one day his adoptive father dies, and he takes off on an adventure, discovering his noble heritage, and all the responsibilities that come with it. Fast-forward a few years, and he's united his people, saved his kingdom, and become more wealthy and powerful than he ever dreamed possible. Unfortunately, he's now saddled with all the responsibility and pressure that goes along with it.

My ideal Aquaman's a guy who loves being a hero, hates being a politician, and every now and then sneaks up to the surface world to order a pizza, and catch a movie.
